Publication Ethics

Acta Poultry Indonesiana is a peer-reviewed journal that follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) . This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in publishing: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (Universitas Sriwijaya). The journal is committed to best practices in ethical publishing, error handling, and retractions. Any form of unethical behavior—including plagiarism—is strictly prohibited.

Publication Decision

The editor is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts will be published. Decisions are based on the value of the work, its relevance to readers, and compliance with journal policies and legal obligations. Editors may consult other editors or reviewers as needed.

Fair Play

Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual merit, regardless of the authors' race, gender, beliefs, citizenship, or political views.

Confidentiality

Editors and staff must keep all submitted manuscript information confidential and share it only with relevant parties such as reviewers and editorial advisors.

Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished content in submitted manuscripts cannot be used for personal research without written consent from the author.

Duty of Reviewers

Peer reviewers assist editors in evaluating manuscripts and may help authors improve their work through constructive feedback.

Duty of Authors

  • Reporting Standards: Research should be described accurately and thoroughly to allow replication.
  • Data Access: Authors must retain and, if needed, provide raw data for editorial review or public access.
  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and properly cite others’ work.
  • Multiple Submission: Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal.
  • Acknowledgment: All sources and contributions should be properly cited.
  • Authorship: Only contributors to the study should be listed as authors; all co-authors must approve the final version.
  • Hazards Disclosure: Any potential risks or hazards in the research must be clearly stated.
  • Conflict of Interest: All financial or substantive conflicts must be disclosed.
  • Error Correction: Authors must promptly inform editors if they discover errors in published work.
