Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts to Acta Poultry Indonesiana (API) undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic rigor, transparency, and fairness. The editorial workflow is designed to ensure objective evaluation while maintaining efficiency.
Review Workflow & Estimated Timeline
- Initial Checking : Editorial team checks format, scope alignment, and plagiarism (1 week)
- Reviewer Assignment : Two qualified reviewers are invited based on subject relevance.
- Evaluation : Reviewers assess quality, originality, clarity, and scientific validity (2-3 weeks).
- Recommendations : Reviewers submit feedback, suggesting acceptance, revision, or rejection.
- Final Decision : Editor-in-Chief evaluates recommendations and notifies the author. Major revisions may undergo re-review (1-2 weeks).
- LoA Issued : LoA issued within 3 working days after final approval.
The total estimated review period is 2–4 weeks. Manuscripts requiring major revision may take additional time depending on responsiveness and reviewer availability.
Review Ethics
API upholds ethical review principles, ensuring fairness and confidentiality. Reviewers are selected based on expertise in poultry-related research and commitment to constructive feedback.
