Abstract

This study explores the optimization of poultry farming systems through the utilization of locally sourced feed ingredients to enhance productivity and contribute to food security in vulnerable regions. By integrating sustainable livestock practices and adapting to local resource availability, the research aims to develop scalable models suitable for smallholder farmers. Field observations and nutritional analyses were conducted to assess the impact of local feed formulations on poultry growth performance, health, and cost-efficiency. The findings demonstrate that local feed resources not only reduce production costs but also promote resilience in agricultural communities facing environmental and economic challenges. The study underscores the potential of localized feed strategies in fostering inclusive rural development and sustainable agriculture.
